Google is a company famous for the stability of its services. Most of their platforms and apps have been continuously working for years without having much trouble and unplanned shutdowns. However, this time it seems that the company had a hard day on September 25, 2020.

On that Friday afternoon, several services of Google went down all at once. The list included Google Meet, Google Drive, Google Docs, Analytics, Calendar and some others. That was very unusual, as, in such situations, only one service commonly goes down. This time, it seemed to be a big error in the whole Google’s ecosystem, which led to such a crash of different services.

The problem was solved later that day, but for several hours, the reports of bugs and crashes were coming from all over the world. For some users, the search did not show images; for others, the files in their Google Drives were not available, while for some, the Docs crashed right in the process of working. Despite the glitches being major, Google’s engineers were comparably quick to fix the issue. Remarkably, with such a large and complicated ecosystem, it would have been extremely hard to find and fix the problem.
